A day before leaving Buenos Aires

So here we are in the hostel at the computer again a day before going to Puerto Iguazu which is the town that lies just at the Iguazu falls. After a 12 day stay in a hostel that was not exactly what we were looking for but turned out to be ok (I guess it was only because we got used to the place) we think the time has come to continue our trip. We bought an 18 hour bus ride that leaves tomorrow at 18:30 and will bring us to Puerto Iguazu at 12:10 the next day.

We had lots of fun while staying here in this tango city - Buenos Aires although we still have the day tomorrow. We got to see many places in and around the city. We even got to see a couple of tango shows (One of them "La Tanguera" being a musical that was just AMAZING). Kraus i know this is not for you and that you are reading this and probably saying "boring..." but tough. A trip is not only what you like. Going to shopping centers and parties. It is a little more than that :-)

Maybe this is for you:
On one of the days we decided to go to Tigre which is 50 minutes by train out of the city. They have a theme park out there so we bought 2 tickets and spent the whole day in the park. Yup it was fun but not more than that. I bought the most expensive ticked which includes everything in the park but ended up going on only 4 of them. The lines were too long. (Don't worry. No carousels).

Florida and La Valle were also places we spent a lot of time at. Those are the two main pedestrian streets here in the center. Lots of shops, restaurants and cinemas. we got to see 3 movies. Maybe it is better to say 2 and a little. One was "Deja Vu" with Denzel Washington, the other was "The Holiday" and the third one was Babel with Brad Pitt. The problem was that not the whole movie was in English. Parts were in Arabic, Spanish and Japanese with Spanish subtitles. Anyway we ended up getting out in the middle and getting back our money after Hilla argued with the lady selling the tickets.

I cant write down all the things we have done here Buenos Aires but can say that we had fun at the markets, the places we went to in the evenings and just everything else we have done and been to like La Boca, San Telmo, Palermo, Puerto Madero, Recoleta...

Tomorrow we will be closer to the gigantic water falls and cant wait to see the place. It is suppose to be even warmer and more humid than here but the place is a must. Iguazu here we come.

Wazzup.... As much as I hate to agree with Kraus.... it does sound a little boring. I would have probably fallen asleep (as usual). The movies also sound kind of boring.... I don't blame you guys for walking out in the middle. It is so typical for Hilla to argue with the ticket woman (and win, of course!). I loved reading that part. Cool theme park picture.

Hilla.... you idiota, stop doing FADICHOT outside the country, it doesn't look good and now the ticket woman probably hates israelis :(

Shvatzi-boy, I do like musicals, cabaret shows, movies and also Luna-Parks. So it's good you done that. And also the part that you went to the Evita Peron cemetery. After all, Madonna played her.

Did you do some free fall or 360 degree stuff or you chickened as in Munich ?!

If we are speaking about movies, so you try to catch the new Mel Gibson (yes, I know he's anti Semite, but who gives a damm) movie "EPOKLIPTO", this movies is about South-America and all the Indians there, fucking great movie. (most of it not in English, so you need subtitles that Hilla won't do FADICHOT again.

you must do some adventure routh on the IGWAZO waterfall, don't settle with the slow motion touristic tour.

I have a test tomorrow, so wish me luck.

BTW: Maccabi, in case you wonder lost 3 games in a row !!! (2 in Europe + 1 in the league) they kind of sucks this year, but as usual they will manage some how to get to final four.

hasta la VISTA,
from Kraus.
