Back to the Capital Federal

Here we are back again in Buenos Aires after a nice round trip from the north to the south and back up. We had a great time in the south with all the mountains, glaciers, small towns... and are now enjoying this great capital city of Buenos Aires. A city mixed with everything. From the richest you can imagine to the poorest of all, just everything. Tango as a main dance can be found all over in restaurants bars and on the streets.

Up until now we have been to quite a few places. We went to the cemetery in Recoleta where all the famous Argentinean people such as Evita are buried. A nice experience cause it was quite different from a normal cemetery. Kind of like a city of statues and small houses. Really nice.

We went to a few markets in San Telmo and La Boca. La Boca being the poorest (most dangerous part of the city tourists don't go to at night) which was built by Italian immigrants seemed to be really interesting. All the houses were painted in different colors and loads of people trying to make money from just anything. Markets and music all over. It was really amazing.

We went to a couple of movies, the casino where we lost of course (not too much), the harbor and to a tango show. As i already said, tango here in Argentina is a main thing. Loads of people dance tango and you can find it everywhere, even on the streets. The show we went to was ok. Not the best but a nice experience.

By the way, yesterday Hilla and I were 3 years together. We went to an all you can eat restaurant. Good food although no meat. Only pastas, pizzas and enpanadas. We had lots of good ravioli and pizza. I think this was the best ravioli we tasted in Argentina. At least better the famous restaurant back in Bariloche where the sauce was really bad.

Today in one hour, we will go the Palermo, another part of the city where there is going to be another Tango show and some other things. It is suppose to be something special so we are going with 2 other friends we met in Puerto Madryn. Ellie from Finland and Huan from Columbia... Wow it is late now, we will have to get ready. I will write more later. Bye.

By the way Eulda Moi - Have not tasted penguin meat and the weather is good at last. When i say good i mean really hot. It is hard to sleep at night. The humidity is killing but i guess we will have to get used cause Brazil is suppose to be worse.

Dear Elad and Hila,

Best wishes for your anniversary!
May each passing prove complete and blissful like the beads of a rosary ;)

Buenos Aires is an amazing site (and I'm really sorry you had such a hot, humid night).

Everything here is alright
The sun shines and there is no rain.

Have fun and hope to hear from you again! :-)
